For those who are just finding out, Debbie Cram, my mom, passed away on the evening of Tuesday, March 1. She had been feeling ill for a few days and suddenly took a turn for the worst. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital where she was diagnosed with pneumonia, sepsis, and early signs of organ failure. She stayed in the ER and CCU for two days before succumbing to her illness.
We are all reeling with the shock and grief of losing someone who was such an important part of our lives. My mom's vibrancy, easy laugh, and incredible breadth of talents and interests is poignantly missing and we will be figuring out how to adjust our lives for a long time.
We are so appreciative of all of the love and support that has poured out from so many people who know and love our family. We have decided not to have a service, preferring instead to celebrate her privately in a way that is meaningful for our immediate family. But we also value and want to honor the importance of community grief. If you would like to contribute to supporting our family in a tangible way right now, funds raised here will be used to cover some of the unexpected costs that accompany a sudden death. Any remainder will be distributed to grandchildren's college funds.
Thank you so much for all of the love that has poured out on us in these hard days. We look forward to continuing our relationships with you, and it is a great comfort to know that our wife, mom, mother-in-law, and grandmother (Mimi) is being carried forward in so many hearts.
Love,
Erin for all
