Craig’s Emergency Fund 4 Rent

Hi all - Since unemployment ran out, I am relying only on my Lyft driving for income. I don’t have to explain what that means vs. gasoline $$ these days. But 3 things have caused this campaign.

1) My current insurance (Regence Blue Cross) charged me $464 for one medicine. It was a mistake, but the refund will take 7-10 business days.

2) Lyft had to draw up a new contract for my car (I “rent” the car from them weekly and pay from my completed rides) because the previous one sold. That cost me $286. I will get the original deposit back again in 7-10 business days.

Both occurred this last week and took from my rent fund.

3) This last 6 months has been the biggest struggle of my sober life (9 years on 3/17, yay!) and I’m at my wits' end. I have to pay rent today, 4/1 (no, it’s not an April Fool’s joke), and am $750 short. I am panicking and overwrought. If everyone reading this donated $8, I could reach that by the end of the day. If you know me personally and don’t wish to donate on a platform, please reach out to me for other options.

Each week before I make any money personally, Lyft gets their cut. I’m more than halfway but won’t make it in time to avoid additional late fees or more drastic steps. It seems odd at 60 years old doing this, but I have no choice. Please, please help if you can.
Thank you. Craig.
