Craige Turland is on end of life with cancer

Hi I am Sally and am fundraising for Craige Turland. He has had cancer and has had his tongue removed - he had a new tongue made for him from a graft off his arm. I’m sad to say the cancer has returned to his stomach and he was told he has 3 months to live. I went to see Craige at home 2 days ago. He is skeletal, he’s not been taking his liquid food for a month as everything makes him sick. He asked me to take him to his doctor but they were completely booked and could not see him. I took him to A&E but it was so busy. Craige is constantly being sick and is embarrassed and couldn’t take everyone staring. He begged me to take him back home to die.

His dad Roy is 90 years of age and has recently had hip replacement surgery after a fall in the garden. He broke down and cried when myself and Trevor visited him. I returned to see them both today. I honestly think the cancer has now spread to Craige’s brain as some of the conversations have been strange. I’ve spoken to him about a hospice but Craige wants to die in his home with his dad.

Craige worked in the pub industry for many years. So many people know Craige and ask after him. I am asking you to please help this family with the funeral costs for a man who is only 62 years of age.

Craige should have many many years left but it’s not to be for him.
