Craig & Stephanie's Honeymoon

Craig and Stephanie are planning a wild honeymoon for Sept 2024! Since the proposal happened in the ocean, it only made sense for the honeymoon to follow suit. We are planning a two-week trip to the Galapagos!

The first week will be a land adventure. We plan to stay in Quito for a few days. There we will take a historic tour of the city, visit a cloud forest, volunteer with an equine-therapy organization, and Craig would like to climb a volcano ... we're still working out the details on that last one. Then it's a quick flight to Santa Cruz. There, we hope to volunteer at an animal rescue and visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, in addition to a few other sights and sounds.

The second week will be an ocean adventure on a liveaboard. A liveaboard is a boat that has been specially designed and outfitted for scuba diving. We will eat, sleep, and dive off this boat. We'll dive up to 4 times a day, and it'll be the week of a full moon (Craig also proposed to me during a full moon), so we hope to catch more than the usual fair of aquatic life. Some of the dive sites are only accessible by a liveaboard, such as Darwin & Wolf Islands. Both islands are home to hammerhead nesting grounds and whale shark migrations. The timing will be perfect, as all of this will be happening during the same season as our trip!
