Hi, my name is Charlotte and I am raising money in honour of my best friend Rebecca who unexpectedly lost her beloved husband Craig. On Thursday 10th July Craig passed away suddenly without warning. He had only recently turned 50 in May, and just 20 months ago — in November 2023 — he and Rebecca were married, after meeting later in life and finding the kind of love many people spend a lifetime searching for. Craig and Rebecca’s love story, though brief, was one filled with warmth and promise.
Craig was a devoted husband to Rebecca and a loving, hands-on father to their 5-year-old son, Bobby who lives with complex disabilities. Their time together as a family was short but full of love, laughter, and devotion.
He was the kind of man who gave freely of himself — always ready with a helping hand, a kind word, or a warm smile. His love for his family was the centre of his world, and his gentle, generous spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Craig was a familiar and trusted face in Skipton and the surrounding areas, known to many as a driving instructor or a familiar face. With his calm presence, patience, and easygoing nature, he helped countless learners gain confidence behind the wheel.
Now, in the midst of unimaginable grief, Rebecca is faced with the heavy burden of trying to fund a funeral for the man she loved — a task made even more daunting by the full-time care Bobby requires and the complete absence of savings for a moment like this.
We’re reaching out to ask for your support to help with:
- Giving Craig the dignified farewell he so deeply deserves
- Covering funeral and cremation costs
- providing urgent financial support for Rebecca and Bobby
- supporting Bobby’s special care needs as they navigate life without his dad
Please, if you can, consider donating — no matter the amount. And if you’re unable to give right now, sharing this page could help reach someone who can.
Thank you for showing love, compassion, and community to Rebecca and Bobby in their greatest time of need. Let’s help give Craig the goodbye he deserves, whether you knew him well or only knew him briefly and remind his family that they’re not alone.
