Craig Ricks cancer journey

Hello friends and acquaintances of Craig Ricks. Craig could use your help.

I am writing this on his behalf as he has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer. The financial strain of this diagnosis weighs heavily on him as he is self-employed, but too ill to work. In the construction field there is no fall back for financial support.

This situation started with what was originally diagnosed as pneumonia. However, during a follow up appt at the hospital for the pneumonia, the physicians saw something more on his xray. The doctors then ordered a CT scan which revealed a large lesion in his left lung, and another possible lesion within his right lung.

The CT scan showed that the lesion(mass) in the left lung is larger than the size of a golf ball and is blocking the airway to the left lung, collapsing it.

So Craig's cancer journey begins, so many appts, so much fatigue, so many unknowns at this point.

So far he's had an MRI on his brain-which was thankfully all clear at this point but things can change.

Craig's lung surgeon has confirmed he will lose his left lung. This will be a serious surgery with a long painful recovery time.
