Hello Ski Patrol Family,
Craig and Andrea Rhodes are pillars of our Ski Patrol Community. Craig heads up the Alpine Valley Work Days and Andrea leads up Chair Evac, teaches CPR and is one of three partners taking over responsibility for the OEC training at Alpine. Their countless volunteering hours extend past Alpine to Brighton and the Region.
Craig broke his collar bone while skiing in Colorado on March 12 and had surgery on March 30, which will extend his recovery for approximately 8 weeks. Craig is self employed in the HVAC business, and not being able to move one arm impacts his work.
In addition, his $6,000 medical deductible was an unexpected surprise (after paying $1,300 / month in medical premiums). This is a classic case study of what's wrong with our health insurance system!
