Craig M Peterson (help Jaci & Tess with death expenses)

Hi friends,

My name is Jaci (formerly Joshua) Peterson, and I recently lost my father, Craig Peterson, to an unexpected and sudden death. The circumstances were tragic, as we had not seen each other in many years. Our relationship was often difficult, but I wish to pay his memory an appropriate and dignified tribute in keeping with what he would have wanted.

Craig was known as a wild and restless soul, whose unconventional and uncompromising approach to life could sometimes challenge those who loved him. Nevertheless, his passion always inspired his loved ones just the same. He was an avid fan of the Grateful Dead, and many of my earliest memories are traveling to and from their concerts with him. Craig also loved animals, nature and the outdoors, and many memories of him will recount numerous adventures in the wilderness, as was a large portion of my childhood, due to that thirst for fresh air and green grass. I'm grateful to have inherited those passionate and restless genes from him.

Craig had been living in Eugene, Oregon at the time of his death. My mother Tess and I are taking responsibility for the resolution of his affairs. We currently reside in Vermont, where Craig was originally born. We will be traveling to Eugene, Oregon to fulfill legal obligations and responsibilities, as well as in tribute to his memory, as he was a lifelong traveler and wanderer. This will require funds for travel, legal matters, lodging and mailing items and so on, in addition to the cost of cremation services and related expenses. We will be mixing portions of his ashes with those of his beloved Great Dane, Naboo, and scattering them amongst various sites that were special to him. Growing up with him, I know that this plan would best honor him in accordance with his wishes and attitude towards life.

Unfortunately, the unexpected and sudden nature of Craig's death has left us unprepared for many aspects, particularly traveling to Oregon in addition to the funeral home costs. Our cheapest estimates total around $6000, so this is the amount we are hoping to reach.
