After losing my mother in 2013 and then my older brother Eric's murder in 2017,my oldest brother, Craig Lee was my last remaining immediate family member I had left. It is all incomprehendable to me that within such a short time, I have lost all of my immediate family. Craig fell ill in December and remainded feeling ill until he went in to the hospital just a week ago. He had a heart attack at the hospital, while being examined for the heart attack, they found that he had cancer. Before being able to learn more about the battle before us and plan of care, Craig suffered a massive stroke which left him paralyzed on the left side and an inability to speak. The hospital had administered a clot bursting drug which has a small risk of a brain hemorrhage. On the 2 year anniversary of my other brother Eric's murder, we learned that Craig fell into that small window of risk and he suffered a brain hemorrhage. I had to then make a choice of life support or enter into hospice care for him. By far one of the absolute difficult moments in my life. I chose to not to let him to endure any more suffering and had to let him leave me and his journey here on his terms, comfortably. He stayed strong and let go on February 8. He was an amazingly strong man who worked hard in his life. He had a good heart and took such great care of his 2 Great Danes that he loved dearly. He leaves behind many that loved him and will miss him. It is hard to accept after such a devastatingly painful and sudden loss. I unfortunately do not have resources to cover all the necessary expenses that I am faced with.
Hold your loved ones a little tighter and make the call to forgive... in an instant, life changes and is too short to waste time on anything but love.
If anyone can help, even a little, I am forever grateful. Thanks for taking a moment to read my story and giving me a hand to stand back up on my feet to send my brother off to eternity.
