Craig Family In Calgary Needs Our Help!

A local family very near and dear to our hearts is experiencing extreme circumstances that require help from our community. Judd Craig, a 58 year old local father, suddenly passed from heart failure while he was walking his dog at the park Sunday afternoon. Judd is survived by his wife, Rachel and his three children, Amber, Nikki and Michael. The family would like to acknowledge the off-duty CPS officer that worked hard to try and revive him, and held his hand while paramedics arrived. The family is forever grateful he was not alone.
While I recognize the sensitivity of this information, I feel it's important to explain the circumstances the family is left with in his passing. My hopes are that in reading this story, you are prompted to help donate what you can. I want to acknowledge the circumstances we are all facing in the current environment. The Craigs, like all Albertans have endured a lot.
A serious motor vehicle accident several years ago left Judd’s wife, Rachel with chronic injury and brain damage that has prevented her from working from the past three years and potentially preventing her from ever working again. The Craigs have struggled to keep up while faced with ongoing medical bills as their personal injury case takes time to unfold in the legal system.
Judd was not only the breadwinner for the family, but the primary caregiver for Rachel. The incredible loss of Judd’s passing is deeper than emotional pain. The children are doing their best to rearrange their lives to provide the care their mother requires, but unfortunately, the financial burden is looming. With the financial future uncertain, the family is struggling to prepare for Judd’s end of life services while trying to keep up with the bills and plan for Rachel’s medical needs in the future.
They need help during this time. Financial stress should be the last thing on anyone’s mind during a difficult grieving process.
