Help Craig "Birdy" Bird in His Fight for Health and Stability.

Our dear friend and colleague, Craig “Birdy” Bird, is facing a life-threatening health crisis and urgently needs our support. Birdie has been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation with severe heart failure (ejection fraction of 20%) and thyrotoxicosis, requiring multiple medical procedures, including a defibrillator implant and arrhythmia ablation, alongside ongoing specialist care.

Many of us know Birdy from his years as Head of Security at Parramatta Leagues Club, Merrylands RSL Club and Canley Vale RSL Club, where he was a familiar, friendly face. Whether welcoming guests, looking out for staff, or offering a helping hand, Birdy always went the extra mile for everyone around him. His warmth, kindness, and generosity and his wicked sense of humour have made a lasting impact on so many lives.

Now, Birdy is unable to work due to his condition and is facing overwhelming medical and living expenses. The costs of lifesaving treatments, medications, and daily essentials have created a crushing financial burden, making this already difficult journey even harder. And if you know Birdy you know he’d never ask for help—so we’re asking for him.
