For all of us who know Craig Bernier, he is going through some serious medical issues. Craig Bernier was diagnosed with Leukemia a couple of months ago. This type of cancer is common among young children, so this is a rare diagnosis for someone Craig's age at 48. Not only is this type of cancer rare for someone his age, the cancer is also located in his brain. Leukemia is a type of blood cancer, and the body and the brain get two different blood supplies. Because of this, Craig also has a port in his head to treat the cancer located in his brain along with the treatment for the rest of his body.

Soon after his diagnosis, Craig was hospitalized for three weeks to treat this cancer. Following this long time spent in the hospital, he was told he needed to continue a chemo medicine regimen for about 90 days following his release from the hospital. Due to this treatment, it has caused him to miss a significant amount of work. Making an income is very important to him in order to provide for himself and his family.

Craig is a loving father of two children, his daughter Emma, and special needs son Sam. Craig has always been a stand up individual, even taking on the responsibility of helping to raise and take care of his girlfriend Christine's granddaughter, Areella. Craig and Christine, have worked hard to take legal responsibility of her granddaughter due to various family ordeals.

Christine has played a huge role in helping Craig by working at Don's Lunch and helping with his son Sam. Not only this, she has stuck by his side throughout these hard times despite having to work even harder while he's seeking treatment.

Craig Bernier has made significant positive impacts on others and the community. He has always been a devoted and hard working individual. Craig worked at, at the time called, Gorham Auto Parts for Shawn Moody for about 4-5 years. He served as a production manager and had numerous responsibilities. Craig has also worked for B&B Towing for about 5 years. He worked as a shop manager at this company as well. As recognized by many, Craig acquires the various skills needed to manage a facility or group of people in order to aid in a productive and positive work environment.

Following Craig's employment at other companies, he took a large step in the self employment direction. Craig bought and reopened the Don's Lunch Van. He ran this business for about 3-4 years in Westbrook, ME. However, due to multiple battles with the town of Westbrook for various business necessities and such, Don's Lunch is now back up for sale.

After a long road with Don's Lunch, Craig began working for Jason's Auto Service around August 2018 as a service writer. His work ethic, positive outlook, generosity, and will to always do better has significantly grown  and impacted the business in many ways. Not only did he bring many friends and customers to the Jason's Auto Service business, he also brought a lot of light and positivity to every individual that stepped foot into Jason's Auto Service. Despite the stresses that arise throughout some days, Craig brings a significant amount of calm and genuine energy to the employees at Jason's Auto Service.

We are needing as much funds as possible as soon as we can. Craig has an appointment soon at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA . For this appointment, Craig is needing to supply money up front. We are looking to help him with this and all other expenses in the future for his overall treatment to beat the cancer. He is receiving chemo at this facility in order to eradicate the Leukemia located throughout his body. This may result in an extended stay in order to receive the treatment. Unfortunately, Craig does not have insurance that is willing to cover the costs. There will be significant more time and treatment needed besides this stay at the Dana-Faber Institute. Craig has a long road ahead of him fighting off this cancer. We would appreciate anything anyone could donate to help Craig.
