Craig and Tori need our help!
Donation protected
Hello all. My name is Heather and I am one of Tori’s coworkers (groomers at a metro grooming shop). Along with my other coworkers, we’re starting this page to assist Tori and Craig with upcoming expenses they will incur due to Craig’s medical emergency. Please read on and consider donating.
On December 30th Craig stayed home from work. After lunch, with Tori, he went upstairs to relax. Tori checked on him once and he was fine. A short time later she checked on him again and found he was actively suffering from a medical event which left him unable to communicate.
Paramedics were called and their initial assessment raised concerns of a brain hemorrhage. Due to concerns for Craig’s ability to breath, medics needed to get him to a hospital as soon as they could. They transported him to their closest hospital which was Fairview Ridges.
Once at The Ridges, Craig was put on a ventilator and a CT scan was done of his brain. Doctors found he had a life-threatening brain hemorrhage. They then transported Craig to Fairview Southdale where he underwent emergency brain surgery.
Surgeons removed a very large clot from the left side of Craig’s brain. He was then rechecked and another small bleed was located. Craig then underwent another brain surgery to remove a small clot and to repair a small vein that may have caused that bleed.
Craig is receiving great treatment and remains on the ventilator. We know there is some damage to the brain but it’s still too early to tell what his prognosis is. He is responding to some stimuli but still remains unconscious.
What we do know is Craig has a very long and difficult road ahead of him. Tori also has a difficult road ahead of her with having to balance being with/caring for Craig and taking on the sole responsibility of the family’s bills and still trying to work.
Craig needs all the prayers and positive thoughts you can think of and if you’re able, please donate to help offset medical costs and missed work.
Thank you all so very much
