Help Rebuild Lives in Jamaica After Hurricane Melissa
My name is Will Leathers. I’m a musician from the Toronto area now living in Nashville, Tennessee. But more importantly, I’m the proud son of a Jamaican mother and someone who cares deeply about people in need.
Jamaica, my mother’s birthplace, was recently devastated by Hurricane Melissa, one of the most powerful storms ever to strike the island. We’re deeply grateful that our family is safe and our homes were spared, but sadly, many others in her home community have lost everything: their roofs, their belongings, and in some cases, their entire homes.
Throughout November, the Jamaican government is waiving all fees for shipping relief supplies to the island. My family and I are determined to take advantage of this opportunity to send as much aid as possible, such as food, clothing, building materials, and other essentials, directly to the community where my mother grew up.
We’re asking for your help. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward purchasing and shipping supplies to families working to rebuild their lives.
Together, we can make a real difference. Please consider donating and sharing this campaign to spread the word. Let’s show our love and support for the people of Jamaica as they begin the long road to recovery.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and generosity.
