Hello and thank you for taking a moment to read our story. With a lot of saving and searching our family just purchased our new home and moved in May of this year. We were very lucky and blessed that we were not hit by the Rocky or Jerusalem Grade fire. We were devestated Saturday night as we watched the the Big Valley fire change with the winds and come down Dry Creek Rd right to the back of our home. We had very little time to load up our family, dogs, live stock, pictures, and what we could grab to throw in the car.
So far we have saved all of our dogs, goats, and just confirmed today, our horse, cow, and pigs survived and are safe. Everything else we owned is gone.  We are taking each day one at a time moving forward. We have lost everything but a couple pairs of clothes, one pair of shoes each, and a handful of pictures.
We underdstand this is life changing for so many familys, our hearts and prayers go out to all.
