My son, Robert, had many angels holding him tight this past Saturday night. He swerved to miss a deer, and his car flipped several times, bumper to bumper! He was life-flighted to Trident but is stable and doing okay for the most part! Broken leg, broken wrist, fractured sternum, and two lumbar fractures. He will need reconstruction surgery on his wrist and will be in rehab for a bit to regain his walking and strength. His fiancé (Wifey, as Robert says) will be caring for him and out of work for a bit. He has a long recovery road, and they will need all the support our family and friends can give. But he is very lucky to have made it out alive! Seat belts do save lives!! As a mom, getting that phone call just about stopped my heart!
