My father medical bills
Donation protected
When we talk about heroes, it's easy to think of fictional characters like Superman or Batman, but in my world, my hero is someone very real - my father, Edward Ortiz, lovingly known as El Chupacabra.
My dad embodies the true spirit of a hero by being the unwavering foundation of our family. Throughout our lives, he has been there for my sister and me, and even now, as we've had to move back home as adults, he has welcomed us with open arms. He lovingly refers to it as a "blessing," assuring my mother that he would take care of her due to her medical issues that prevent her from working.
Every day, my father works tirelessly to provide for us, and despite his busy schedule, he always manages to find time to spend with his family. He's not just a father, but also an exceptional husband and a doting grandfather.
Recently, our world was shaken when on September 5th, my father was diagnosed with acute bronchitis. Although he was prescribed medications, his condition continued to worsen. It was only on Saturday, September 23, that my mother decided to rush him to the ER. There, they discovered fluid in his lungs and the possibility of congestive heart failure.
Currently, my dad is hospitalized, and he is scheduled to be transferred to the main Baptist hospital. While our spirits remain strong, this experience has taken a toll on us in many ways. Seeing my father, who has always been a pillar of strength, now facing fear and uncertainty is truly heartbreaking.
The medical bills have been mounting, and we find ourselves at a crossroads. This is why we're reaching out to you, our extended family, friends, and well-wishers. We humbly ask for your support to help bring my dad back home. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in our lives during this challenging time. Your kindness and generosity will not only ease the financial burden but also lift our spirits and give us hope.
Please, if you can, consider making a donation to support my father's recovery. Together, we can ensure that our real-life hero, my dad, can continue to be the loving, caring, and strong presence in our lives that we cherish so deeply.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion and generosity.
