To her future

Hi, my name is Karla and I’m the mother to an amazing young lady. My daughter just got accepted into Olso University to study abroad for the summer. Im not to sure what to write in here but here’s a a snippet……I’m a single parent trying to help my daughter see the world. I believe travel and immersing oneself in another world/culture is one of the best ways to be educated. She discovered in her senior year of college that Nordic studies is her passion, but in order to complete her major she needed to study abroad. Applications opened in February, she was excepted yesterday and funds are due April 15th. I’m working full time and have a second job, but there is no way I can even come

close to paying for this in time…She fights anxiety and having panic attacks nearly everyday and I’m so amazed that she still tries new experiences…. Her first 2 years of college were not the norm like many due to Covid, and wanted to come home…but she held on… and seemed to struggle finding her interests…until…. She took Norwegian language, and kept adding Norwegian classes to her schedule, but didn’t think a major would be possible, until her professor pointed out that she had taken everything needed for the major but studying abroad…

so now we’re here…asking for help… which is really hard for me to do…

(as of now if we can get her to Oslo University, on her return she wants to internship at Vesterheim museum (largest Nordic museum in the country in Decorah Iowa for a year and look at a Masters in Scandinavian Studies) if anyone can help her accomplish her goals, dreams and lead her into her future, I’d be forever grateful.
