On the morning of February 2nd, 2016, tragedy struck the home and family of three Brock Bridge Elementary students.

An explosion occurred due to a malfunction with the gas line of their home. The father suffered second and third degree burns to about 80 percent of his body. The small child that was in the home at the time, was taken to John Hopkins Hospital for evaluations. He had minor injuries and suffered from smoke inhalation. The father was airlifted to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and has undergone several surgeries.

At this time the family is living with a neighbor so that the children can continue to make it to school and maintain a somewhat normal lifestyle. They lost everything due to the fire that erupted after the explosion.

Many people have been asking how they can help besides clothes and small toy donations. I decided to create this page for the mother, the father, and the three children to help them with the long road ahead. I’m sure there have been countless amounts of costs that have come along with this hardship. The father remains in the hospital and is unable to work and maintain a steady income for the family. Medical bills are accumulating quickly.

If anyone has taught or had the pleasure of meeting these children then you know that they are kind spirited, helpful, and giving. After all that they have encountered the past month, they still have smiles on their faces. Any donations that you have to offer to this amazing family would be greatly appreciated.
