Hello CSUS community,

Our dear friend Antonio from the cafeteria is having a challenging year and is looking to raise funds to support his job search. Antonio left Crystal in December 2020 after 20 years of dedicated service in the cafeteria. More recently, he was let go from his job at a home staging company due to pandemic-related layoffs. Antonio has been working tirelessly to secure another job but his car recently broke down making it challenging for him to commute to interviews.

Antonio is looking to raise $5,000 which he will use to purchase a new car that will allow him to commute to interviews and also to commute to a new job when he secures one.

You may remember Antonio for his cheeriness, support at community gatherings and sports games, and friendly demeanor. Antonio is down to his last savings. Balancing living expenses alongside sending money home to his family in Guatemala is getting more challenging without a stable source of income. As a last resort, he is asking for help from the Crystal community.

If you are willing and able to contribute, any amount, large or small, will go a long way in helping our friend who has been dealt a difficult hand as of late.
