My name is Zachary Zediker (23), and I am from Panama City, Florida. I am seeking financial assistance for tournament entry fees and travel expenses. The financial assistance will be vital in the pursuit of my dream. I was given my first club at the age of two, and at the age of eight I played my first tournament as a Junior Golfer. To this day I enjoy the game and the challenges it brings with each event. With that being said, I have made the decision to pursue golf professionally. I will be updating the site with my schedule, as well as tournament photos and final results.
In 2020, I earned the Highest honor in NCAA Division II Golf when I was named the Jack Nicholas award winner. I am the first Statesman and the fourth overall Jack Nicholas award winner from the Gulf South Conference. This honor adds to the many I was fortunate enough to earn during my career to date. I will be the only Division II golfer to compete for the United States Arnold Palmer Cup team, which will be played on December 21-23 at the Bay Hill Golf and Lodge in Orlando, Florida. I played in all six events for DSU before the spring season was cancelled , garnering GSC Golfer of the Month twice and finishing the pandemic-shortened season ranked No. 1 in the Golfstat Cup National rankings.
During the 2019-2020 season I captured the Derrall Foreman Invitational individual title, the NCAA Division II National Preview title, the Matt Dyas Invitational title, and the Hurricane Invitational individual title.
In the spring of 2020, I graduated from college with a 3.4 GPA and a degree in health, physical education and recreation. I have always tried to maintain a community presence in addition to my academics and sports goals. I volunteered a the Bolivar County Animal Shelter, participated in a reading program at Pearman Elementary School, food service program at Sacred Heart Missions, and worked with special needs kids in the classroom. On campus activities included volunteer time with the Delta State Swimming and Diving tournaments, participation in the Pink Mile walk for breast cancer awareness, Delta Down and Dirty Mud run for youth, DSU athletics Trunk-or-Treat, and Make-A-Wish fundraisers.
