About a week ago my uncle found out that he has Pancreatic Cancer that has spread to his liver, his prognosis is not good. Kevin is 56 years old and is the second oldest out of 10 kids. He has 4 children and 2 grandchildren. His youngest child is 16 and is still living at home, and we are all devastated about this news.
He met with the oncologist this week and found out that surgery and radiation are no longer an option. He has 9 masses that showed up on the CT scan, several are very large (4-6"). The only option at this point is chemo therapy, and that would only prolong his life by a few months.
He has been given some medication to help with the pain, but he is very sick and is having a hard time keeping food down. The doctor has given him 2 months - 1 year to live. Because of the diagnosis and the how sick he has been, Kevin will not be returning back to work.
Kevin is the kindest man who would do anything for anyone, please assist us in helping to lift the financial burden from Kevin and his family while they try to enjoy their remaining time together.
