Hi my name is Jeff Morgan and I have been on a low budget around the world journey since January of this year. There has been no extravagance and I have been very conscious with every aspect of my travels staying in hostels and exchanging my labour for a place to stay on Workaway to limit costs and buying foods from markets and street vendors while relying on public transit and buses to get around.

I recently discovered my last remaining funds have been drained from my bank account by the Canadian Government through something called a legal demand. Arrangements had been in place to make payments on a tax debt however, Canada Revenue issued a Legal Demand seizing my remaining funds and my bank wilfully complied leaving me broke and stranded in Thailand.

To compound the challenge, my Visa expires very soon so I am requesting a formal extension from the Thai Government while I attempt to raise funds to fly home. If I am denied there could be a further risk of deportation compounding the problem.

I am fortunate to have a local friend with whom I can stay while I find solutions but there is no financial help through this connection and again, I have no immediate family or relatives on whom I can lean so I am appealing to friends through this campaign.
