Support Cindy's Recovery After Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
My name is Becky and I am asking for support for my dear friend and classmate Cindy.
Hurricane Helene recently swept through western North Carolina, leaving devastation in its wake. Cindy, who lives in Flectcher, NC lost part of her roof and her home suffered additional water damage. While she was fortunate in many ways, her business and source of income has been forced to close since the storm hit two weeks ago. While her physical losses were minimal, the hurricane has had a significant impact on her ability to work and support herself.
Cindy has always been a caring and generous soul. Like many others impacted by the storm, Cindy has been helping her neighbors recover as much as she has been recovering herself. With banks closed and businesses operating on a cash-only basis, she gave her last bit of cash to a young woman in a store who had no way to pay for essentials for her infant, knowing it was the right thing to do in a difficult time.
She would never ask herself, but now she is in need of a little support. Please help me raise funds to support her through this difficult time. Funds will be used to help provide living expenses, emergency supplies and home repairs.
Cindy was initially reluctant to allow me to set this page up, feeling that so many others had suffered greater losses. She agreed, only if she could donate anything beyond what she needed back to the community.
Any contribution, big or small, will be greattly appreciated by Cindy and will help her get back on her feet—and, as always, she’ll be looking out for others with whatever extra she receives.
Thank you for your generosity and kindness. Let’s support Cindy, just as she has always supported those around her.
