As many of you may know, the last couple months has been a whirlwind of devastating news, surgery and chemo. Anthony’s, Sandra’s and Brock's world turned upside down when the doctors confirmed that Anthony had testicular cancer. As if that wasn't bad enough, it was aggressive and already spread to his lymph nodes and his stomach. Imagine getting that news at any age much less 35! Anthony just finished 9 grueling weeks of chemo. Now the wait begins for his scans to tell if the tumor in his stomach has shrunk enough to clear one of the main arteries in his heart so that the surgeons can get clear margins when they remove the cancer.
Let's help Anthony get back on his feet and on the road to recovery by taking the stress of him and his family. The treatments are not all covered by insurance and the surgery recovery time will be another 8 weeks or more. We do not know when Anthony can return to to work but he’s eager to get back to his healthy self for his family. Brock is only 11 years old and has been missing spending Sundays going fishing with his dad. Anthony would wake up early very morning to make sure that he could finish his pool route so that he could get home and help his wife tend to their farm. Anyone who knows the them, has learned that it takes a lot of work to keep a farm running. Although Sandra breds dogs for a little additional income, that ability will be greatly reduced because they used to do this as a team, and now that Anthony will likely have a second surgery with 8 days on the hospital and at least 8 weeks in recovery, the income from breeding will virtually be gone. Essentially not just one income was lost, but both since Sandra will not leave Anthonys side as they will kick cancers butt hand in hand. They are devastated that cancer is taking away their freedom to work and earn a living so please do what you can to help them get back on their feet and put smile back on Brock's face when Anthony becomes cancer free and is able to take Brock out for their Sunday fishing trip once again.
