Help Louise beat breast cancer!

We are fundraising for our beloved friend, Louise Clauson, in her battle against cancer. In November 2023, after a routine mammogram and follow-up diagnostic tests, Louise received the devastating news that she has a rare, aggressive, and invasive form of breast cancer. Louise is in the process of a year-long treatment journey that includes chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, and a double mastectomy.

Anyone who is fortunate to know and love Louise, knows that she carries a bright light and is a powerful force. Whether it’s lending advice, showing up to celebrate her friends’ milestones, watching their children, or supporting a coworker, Louise is there for everyone. Her heart is full of love and her support for others is endless. Now she needs our support.

Louise needs our financial support to help sustain her over the next year. She thankfully has health insurance, but being a freelancer, she pays over $1,000 a month for her family’s premium. Unfortunately, even with insurance, she has a large deductible and an out-of-pocket maximum to meet. Since she started treatment last year, she must meet both for 2023 and 2024.

Louise is currently able to work during treatment, but there will be periods of time where she is unable to work. Your donation will help cover out-of-pocket medical expenses as well as living expenses (rent, utilities, groceries, and taking care of her sweet son TJ, who is only 7 years old) that will continue to accumulate over the coming year.
