Calgary support for Lauren, Jeff and Isabelle

Here is a portion of the email I received from Jeff White a few days ago:
"If you're not aware, a year ago Lauren was diagnosed with a fairly rare form of appendix cancer called pseudomixoma. Last June she had very extensive surgery, which involved the removal of all non-essential organs in her lower abdominal area, and an intense form of surgical chemotherapy called HIPEC. She did a course of chemotherapy from September through the end of 2019. Her subsequent scans and tests had been all cancer free and she returned to work, seemingly miraculously in January.
Unfortunately, her most recent scan which was done in mid-march showed the very sudden growth of a tumor in her lower left side. The surgical team in Aarhus Denmark who performed her surgery last summer have deemed it inoperable in its current state. She will begin very aggressive chemotherapy for three months, in a week or two. If the tumor responds and shrinks, surgery and another course of HIPEC might be an option. While Lauren is seeking a second opinion in Gemany on this, the prognosis is not good, and even in the last several days since we got this horrible news she has had a build up of fluid in her abdomen which is what happened to her last year.
Lauren has decided to undergo the chemo and if there is no positive affect on the tumor she will forgo any further treatment. She has requested that Isabelle and I move back to Calgary so that she can be raised surrounded by family and protected by their love. Our Danish adventure was just that, ours. It is not something I can remotely imagine continuing without Lauren as my partner. We are, as they say, hoping for the best but preparing for the worst."
Since we are all so far away from Lauren and Jeff, I thought it might be nice to send some money for meal deliveries, or for family to travel to Denmark or whatever they might need in this difficult time. I hope we can show them that their old CPO family is thinking of them and send them as many supportive thoughts as possible!
