CPL Ryan L. Vue NUT Carcinoma Fund

Ryan Vue is a 24 year old Corporal in the United States Marines. Newly wed in March 2019, his wife Pai and son Noah joined him in California that May where he was stationed with 2nd Battalion 4th Marines Camp Pendleton.  It was only a month after their move when Ryan began to feel a small bump under his tongue. Within a few short days of having it biopsied, they were slammed with the devastating news that it was cancerous. Ryan was in peak physical condition and was looking forward to enjoying his last year in CA before coming back to the Midwest. This was something no one expected. A few days after receiving the news, the Marines flew Ryan and his family back home to La Crosse, WI.  It was at Mayo Rochester that he was diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive cancer called NUT Carcinoma, formally known as NUT Midline Carcinoma.  With roughly 350 cases worldwide there is no known cure or standardized treatment protocol.  We have been left with a clinical trial and Phase 1 and 2 studies.  After Ryan’s recent scans, it has shown that the cancer is spreading to other areas just as quickly as we are trying to treat them. This has been very taxing on his body but he has promised to not give up. Throughout this ordeal, Ryan and Pai have had to travel between MN and WI to meet with his medical team and continue chemotherapy. Unfortunately, this has left Ryan very weak and depleted between his treatments. Due to this, Pai recently took a leave of absence from work so that she can take him to his treatments and help with any day to day routine.  All of this traveling has taken a toll on both their vehicle and finances. We are asking that you help us show our support for Ryan and his family as he continues this battle.
