Join Nadeera's Fight for Life: Pancreatic Cancer Support

Hi everyone,

My name is Nadeera Malavige, and I am reaching out to you during the most difficult time of my life.

In 2023, my wife and I moved to England with dreams of building a better future. Sadly, our lives took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with a Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumor (NET), which has since spread to my liver. This devastating diagnosis has turned our world upside down.

Due to my illness, I am unable to work. I underwent my first surgery in the first week of February and am currently in the midst of a challenging recovery. My condition remains severe, and I am still very weak. My wife has been by my side, caring for me while also managing all our expenses on her own. Once I recover from this surgery, I will need to prepare for another major operation on my liver, followed by further treatment and an extended recovery period.

As we are in the UK on a work visa, we are not eligible for government benefits to help with living expenses. Our savings were completely depleted in December due to unexpected costs. With the ongoing recovery and upcoming surgeries, we are struggling to stay afloat financially.
