Healing Heather

Early in December our friend Heather Wood was diagnosed with cancer.  It is stage 4, non-small cell lung cancer (adenocarcinoma).  CT scans show masses in her lung, liver and lesions on her bones (hips, spine and a couple of ribs).  As you can imagine, this was devastating news for Heather and her family – and they have spent the last few weeks going through many tests and focusing on what their future will look like.

Heather and her husband Dan, have three children, Judah (9), Lily (6), and Ethan (3).  On top of managing this cancer diagnosis, they are trying to keep life as normal as possible for their children.  Fortunately, they have a strong family and friend community and many people reaching out to help.  Heather’s mom and sisters live in Ohio and are trying to be here as much as they can to help take care of the children, household duties, and Heather as she undergoes treatment.  

Heather is stepping away from real estate for the foreseeable future to focus on healing and spending time with her family.  As you can only imagine there are a lot of extra costs involved in Heather’s treatment.

We have set up this Go Fund Me account where you can donate to the Wood family. They will use these funds to supplement income, pay for additional cost of medical care, non-traditional treatments that are not covered by insurance, extra child care expenses, travel expenses, you name it.  Whatever they need to help Heather heal and keep life as normal as possible for the kids.
