As some of you may know, my daughter, Casey was diagnosed with a Cerebral Proliferative Angiopathy (CPA) last year. This is an extremely rare condition which receives very little funding for research due to its rarity, meaning there is very little in the way of treatment options.
Symptoms vary for sufferers depending on the parts of the brain it effects. For Casey, it's headaches up to 5 times a day, varying in intensity and sometimes affecting her sight.
Casey is also losing her sight as a result of the CPA and has already lost her sight in the lower outer quadrant on both eyes. She is lucky that she has relatively mild symptoms so far compared to other sufferers.
Alongside my friends Richard Asbury and Will Reynolds, we will be taking part in the London to Brighton bike ride on 10th September 2023.
Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of CPA Research Foundation and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
