Help Fetehi Fight His Battle with Terminal Cancer

Introduction:

Hello, my name is Kadir, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my amazing eldest brother, Fetehi Mohammed. As many of you know, Fetehi has always been a fighter—someone who brings joy to those around him with his kindness, goofiness, strength, and gritty attitude. He’s an amazing husband, son, brother, and a devoted father to my three nephews and my niece. Now, he’s facing the toughest battle of his life: Brain Cancer.

Fetehi’s Story:

Fetehi was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma (GBM) in February of 2023, with a prognosis of 6 months to 1 year. Despite this heartbreaking news, he has shown incredible courage and resilience throughout this journey and, by Allah’s grace, has managed to continue the fight beyond the doctors’ expectations. He has undergone a 13-hour open brain surgery, chemotherapy, and proton radiation treatment. Though his body is struggling, his spirit and his faith in Allah remain strong.

Why We Need Your Help:

As you can imagine, this journey has been emotionally and financially overwhelming for our family. Despite having tried multiple treatments, unfortunately, the cancer has begun to regrow in the area where it was surgically removed. The doctors have informed us that the next course of action is to reattempt the open-brain surgery to remove the tumor and restart his chemo/proton regimens. They have warned us that the risks are significantly higher this time, with the potential that he may not survive the procedure.

As a result, my family and I are exploring every other avenue, including holistic treatments that could improve his quality of life and overall well-being. While conventional treatments have been essential, we believe that holistic therapies can provide additional support to his body and spirit during this time. These therapies include acupuncture, specialized nutrition plans, herbal medicine, and mind-body therapy—all of which could bring relief and strength to Fetehi. But we need your help to make this possible.

Holistic treatments are not covered by insurance, and the costs quickly add up. We are aiming to raise $25,000 to cover consultations with holistic specialists, natural supplements, therapy sessions, and travel expenses for appointments. This amount would allow us to avoid another open-brain procedure and access these crucial therapies for the next several months, offering him a chance to feel better and continue to fight this battle with renewed strength.
