I am a special education teacher of students with moderate to severe disabilities in California. A second-grade student in my class has two older disabled siblings as well as mom and dad. Mom has been battling cancer that has metastasized in the last year, resulting in numerous unpredictable hospital stays. Dad works, takes the three children to and from each of their three school sites each day, and is the primary caregiver for his wife.

In the last month, dad was let go from a job on the spot for not being able to work a different shift due to caring for his family and has now had their only vehicle repossessed. I want to help raise funds for this family to help reduce the mounting burdens, so they can get caught up on rent, electricity bill, food, and transportation. Dad is now working part-time.
