Hey Everyone,
I struggled with myself a lot to get here and tell my story.
We are here now, so here we go. :)
"It was early February 2020, I knew something did not feel right. It worried me immediately. Next day, at work I scheduled an appointment with NYU Langone Urology Department.
It was a tumor - I did not want to accept that fact.
I wanted a second opinion; I was recommended Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). After confirming the diagnosis of the lump it was a tumor, surgery was the next step in my process.
I had my Orchiectomy surgery on March 11th, 2020 , which was successful and went very well. I made a full recovery with constant exercise and support from my family; I was running, cycling, and starting a daily healthy regiment again.
Pathology after surgery was the next step in my process.
This is when I learned I have Stage 2 - Testicular Cancer.
As you can imagine, at 27 - living my healthiest lifestyle i have ever been in- i was in shock and hit hard with the news.
Stage 2- TC means the infection in my tumor had spread past the start point of the tumor to the surrounding lymph nodes and abdomen area.
I thought it was the end of the world!
Recommended treatment has been 4 cycles of Chemotherapy.
I currently write this starting my second cycle tomorrow. I have been holding strong and well, and fighting my best fight- mentally, physically, and emotionally.
I have a great support system at home from my loved ones and family.
I no longer feel like this is the end of the world; but a new beginning for myself to really appreciate the life i have been given.
All this came about as well with the financial burden of medical bills piling up. At first, i did not expect it to go past the surgery and get worse. When it did, the cost of treatment and care for cancer is expensive and piles on fast. Sometimes thinking you can control everything and not need help; and sometimes you do need the help. "
I just want to put my story out there.
I truly believe anything can help, from small donations to encouraging/positive words. Yes, cancer sucks and every notion of it which comes with the experience; I am staying positive. I will win this battle.

Any support is appreciated.
Just taking the time to read my story and get here- Thank you.
Love,
Eddie
