My husband, Joe Straub, is currently undergoing a dual transplant surgery—a life-saving procedure that marks the beginning of a long and challenging road to recovery.
While we are incredibly grateful for the medical team and the hope this surgery brings, the reality is that recovery will be intense. Joe will be unable to work for at least six months as he focuses on healing, ongoing medical care, and required therapy. I, his wife, will also be taking time off work in the coming weeks to care for him during this critical stage.
We have two children at home who depend on us, and balancing their care alongside Joe’s recovery is both emotionally and financially overwhelming.
This fundraiser is to help cover:
Medical bills not covered by insurance
Post-transplant therapy and medications
Lost income during Joe’s extended time off work
Basic living expenses while our family focuses on healing
Asking for help is not easy, but right now, support from our community means everything. Any donation—no matter the size—will help ease the financial burden and allow us to focus on what truly matters: Joe’s recovery and keeping our family stable during this time.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page or keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers is deeply appreciated.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
