Cowboy is wonderful, happy 1 year old pup who we pulled from the shelter one hour before he was scheduled to be euthanized. He had no one, until we stepped up. Now he has a chance, but he needs our help to take it.

When Cowboy started limping, we got him in for a consult at Sage Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Dublin. Dr. Becker, an incredible orthopedic surgeon, diagnosed him with elbow dysplasia. It affects both of Cowboy's elbows, but the left is by far the more severe and needs surgery as soon as possible. Dr. Becker is confident that once the left is repaired, Cowboy can live a full, comfortable life with his right elbow as it is.

He has also offered us a rescue discount and is doing everything he can to help.

Surgery on the left elbow costs $10,000. We would love to add a CT scan so Dr. Becker has the clearest possible picture, which brings the total to $12,000. If we reach that goal, Cowboy gets the best chance at a long, happy, pain-free life. Any funds raised beyond the goal will go toward his ongoing care.

We are a small rescue, not a large organization, and we are doing this on our own. Cowboy is a total love bug who deserves to run, play, and grow old in a home that loves him. He was born with this condition, and it would be heartbreaking for it to cost him his life after he has already been given a second chance.
