We are Cowboy Church of the Hill Country, a small group of believers located in Driftwood, Texas. Since our founding in 2006, we have met in what was a Civil War infirmary, a barn, and under a tent in an open field. Five years ago, we purchased land upon which to construct a church building of our own. Before that, we had been renting a storefront, but the rent became unsustainable. At that time, we raised enough money from our members to make mortgage payments on the land and what we thought was needed to build an adequate facility to meet our needs. We were then met with a harsh reality.
Five years later, and post-Covid, material costs have skyrocketed due to inflation and supply chain challenges. The same is true for labor costs, gasoline, and insurance.
We have begun construction of our church building, but in order to build the facility that we had envisioned five years ago, we will need an additional $150,000, which is beyond the reach of the members of our small congregation. While hesitant to ask for charity, we realize that we need the help of others to complete construction.
We truly appreciate anything you are willing and able to contribute, and you will be in our prayers.
