Family 1 - Rental assistance needed for family of 7 living in a Hotel
Due to a myriad of issues this single mother of six children has been displaced for over 6 months living in a hotel after the home she was renting was deemed inhabitable due to mold (discovered after her children became sick from it). With the passing of her main support system (her grandmother, uncle, and her father, who all recently passed due to complications from Covid-19) and a multitude of medical expenses for her youngest beautiful boy, Samir, the issue has compounded and worsened. Samir was born with a congenital illness that renders him legally deaf and blind with severe epilepsy and developmental delays. Between doctor's visits, the price of living out of a hotel, and ensuring the children have everything they need in the midst of a pandemic, the situation has become too much for this mom to handle alone. We are looking to help bring some relief to the situation by raising enough funds to move her into proper housing (first last and security) which will provide the foundation that is so desperately needed to get this family on the path to proper health, safety, and overall well-being.
Family 2-Mom of 5 in dire need of financial assistance
This hardworking mom of 5 lost her job as a phlebotomist recently due to the pandemic and a series of events that left her car less and subsequently unable to transport to work (30+ mins away- with no direct public transportation options). After traveling to NY to bury her mom on 10/05/20 and assisting financially with burial expenses. She then traveled to Florida just 2 weeks later to say goodbye and bury her father on 10/25/20. After missing an entire month of work and assisting financially with burial expenses for both parents, she returned home to her lights cut off. Unfortunately all of the food she had was spoiled and the refrigerator and deep freezer filled with maggots. With all of her bills mounting she unfortunately lost her car (repossession) shortly after returning home. This subsequently spiraled to job loss as she was unable to transport to her job located more than 30 minutes away in a rural area. We are looking to help bring some relief to the situation by raising enough funds to prevent eviction while mom seeks new employment.
Family 3- Mom of 2 Special Needs children and Domestic Violence Survivor in need of assistance
This single mom of 2 special needs children in is need of assistance this holiday season as she recently loss a main source of income to her household due to domestic violence. She is several months behind on rent and facing eviction. Although the stay on evictions will hold until the end of the year, she will be unable to catch up on her past due rent without some help. We are looking to help bring some relief to the situation by raising enough funds to help mom catch up on rent.
