COVID19 - Solidarity with Uzbekistan

This fundraising campaign is candidate for the EBRD’s community initiative funding from the special shareholders fund up to EUR50,000, subject to approval by EBRD.
The whole world is talking about COVID-19, and no one expected a virus to become part of our everyday conversation. The virus did not pass by Uzbekistan, and the number of infected has been increasing steadily. You must have heard about the action to “flatten the curve”, and the Government of Uzbekistan has made tremendous efforts to keep the pandemic under control.
As an Uzbek community in the UK, we believe we need to act quickly and support our country in these challenging times. We are not the only ones who care, other initiatives to raise funds to help those affected of the pandemic are being set up. We have decided to join efforts with our compatriots in France under the "Solidarity with Uzbekistan" campaign.
For this purpose, and to coordinate the collection of funds in the UK, we have set up the Crowdfunding campaign under the patronage of Bilim Uzbek Cultural Center.
The Intended use is to organize a charitable action, «Solidarity with Uzbekistan» Project, which will consist of food aid to poor people who are struggling to due COVID-19 lockdown, personal protective equipment and medical supplies to hospitals, aid to people who suffered from COVD-19 directly or indirectly as well as to fight with the consequences of COVID-19.
With the support of the beneficiary, local fund Ezgu Amal, we are working on the due diligence to make sure your contribution will be best-directed and meaningful. We will keep you updated with the progress of the initiative and provide full transparency.
We will periodically provide the detailed expenses summary on the Facebook page and the Telegram channel.
This campaign is open for any amount, and every penny counts. Your humble contribution will help the people who are in real need.
