Derriford Hospital PPE- The Visor Dude.

Donation protected
With coronavirus set to be with us for the foreseeable future, and in light of the shortages in PPE equipment for frontline workers, I have decided to to use my time at home to 3D print much needed PPE face shields for local hospitals to use.

Producing the face shields costs money and so I’ve set up this page in the hope that, with your help, I can raise enough in donations to cover costs, which include printer filament and distribution costs.

Sadly, good quality PPE is in short supply, but together we have an opportunity to try to help to keep our frontline workers safe.

In addition to the printed headband (which is made from a filament made from corn starch) to hold the shield in place, the visor that protects the wearers face is made from a PVC sheet, cut to size. The printers are my own and I’m happy to put them to good use but I need support in order to be able to make a meaningful amount of equipment.

If you are able to help, any amount will be gratefully received and put to good use.

If you have any questions please contact me and I’ll be happy to answer them.  Thank you.
