Covid-19 Masks for Hard of hearing

I wanted to thank everyone for your support, we've made over 270 masks so far and shipped them. We'll be continuing to make these until everyone who asks has one. Many people have asked about how they can donate to our project, so I will be opening the GoFundMe until end of June if you still want to donate to our project! Our remaining funds will be donated to Tucker School.

Hello, All
Thank you so much for all your contributions to our project. We've raised more than enough money for our project, so we will be closing our GoFundMe page. Any money we raise that is not directly used for material cost and shipping will be donated to the local deaf and hard of hearing school. Once again, thanks so much for all your support! !

Hi, my name is Eric Kim, a junior from Sunset High School in Portland Oregon. I've learned ASL(American Sign Language) and volunteered for the deaf and hard of hearing community, such as Tucker Maxon Elementary school, and senior assisted living centers.

From these interactions, I've learned how important seeing facial expression and lip movement when they communicate with each other.

Due to the Coronavirus, many deaf and hard of hearing people must wear masks, but also need to see lip movements to communicate effectively, which makes the need for these transparent masks more urgent in these times.

All money raised will go towards buy materials to make these masks. I will send masks free of charge (including shipping).  Any money not used for making masks at the end will be donated to the Deaf or Hard of Hearing Community in Portland area. If you would like to request masks, please contact me at [email redacted]

Thanks so much for your generous donation and support for the community!
And thank you Ashley Lawrence, who inspired me to take on this project!
