This is very difficult to write. COVID-19 is hitting so many of us. Some in ways that will change us forever.. For some in harder hit countries like Ecuador life will never be the same, and this is the reason why I’m doing this. We have already lost friends and family and some of those that are still with us are on respirators from which only 20-30% survive. Besides taking all of the proper precautions, people are getting sick and dying very quickly. A 43 year old can die in 3 days, while an 83 year old can survive this monster.

We have family in Ecuador that are very sick, their lung capacity is at 50%.  Ecuador being a third world country, their health care system is not optimal on a good day and with the pandemic it’s unimaginable – think Elmhurst hospital in NY 100 times worse. Medicines have to be ordered, public hospitals are not admitting people and the private clinics are so beyond people’s means that some just go back home as they cannot afford to pay for one day of treatment, and pray they’ll make it another day.  We are helping our family but the costs right now are very high. So if you can spare anything, it would be greatly appreciated. You will literally be saving lives.
