Covid-19 Crisis Student Computers and Internet

Please help us raise finds to secure computers and internet tech for our students during this Covid-19 crisis. While we provide our full program, live online from 9:00AM-5:15PM everyday (including everything from Humanities and STEM, to dance, art and Spanish), we don't have the funds to get all of our students the tech they need to engage our Distance Learning Platform. But with your help we can close the digital divide for all of our kids!
Our school is built on "The Ember Way", a core human development practice that casts aside the typical focus on test prep and draconian 'no-excuses' policies in favor of a progressive, holistic and trauma responsive public school experience where agency, love, culture and a commitment to social justice sit at the center of our work. Despite the harsh reality of racism, trauma and generational poverty, our students are strong, determined and loving paladins of their own lives, capable of achieving the extraordinary when empowered with the tools and opportunity to do so.
We empower our students by focusing on the kind of good and impactful people they will become (social entrepreneurs, engineers and global leaders), not how many facts they can memorize and repeat. We nurture their self-efficacy, mindfulness, critical thinking, social-emotional health, physical well-being, and leadership to prepare them to change the world in every way their communities and our global society needs.
