COVID-19 Crisis Response Program for Nigeria
Donation protected
Hello, my name is James.
I am currently a volunteer with the United Nations Volunteers service (UNV) and I have been assigned to Peace Advocacy and Sustainable Development Outreach (PASDO), a non-governmental organization based in Nigeria and registered with the UNV.
In the wake of the global Coronavirus crisis, lock-downs have been imposed all over Nigeria to curtail the spread of the virus.
Consequently, vulnerable Nigerians (including those who survive on daily wages but can no longer go out to work and earn a living) are suffering economic hardships and are increasingly facing acute shortages of foodstuff, water and other basic needs.
An increasing number of people in this country, which currently ranks as the world’s poverty capital, are forced to make a choice between staying at home to die of hunger or going out (in search of livelihood) to die of Coronavirus.
My job as a United Nations volunteer is to help raise funds from well-meaning individuals and institutions to support the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Crisis Response Program for Nigeria (CCRPN).
The CCRPN is a program through which PASDO provides for those in dire need at this time (who needs are not very widely covered and supported by the media).
Your kind contribution can truly make a big change in the lives of these people in this especially urgent and desperate situation.
** Typically, donations would be made on the PASDO website through this link: https://covid19.pasdo.org/ccrpn-fundraising/james/
However, unfortunately, it has come to our attention that for some reason, it is highly likely that there will be many difficulties for people with American bank accounts in processing the payment through the PASDO website, and on top of this, many fund raising platforms do not accept organizations from developing countries, hence, why this payment is now being requested through this "personal" GoFundMe page.
Typically, the donations through PASDO requires you to fill out a quick information form after which, in appreciation for your donation and to show respect for your valuable time, PASDO would issue you an electronic Donor Certificate after your donations has been successfully received.
IF YOU WOULD still like to receive this electronic Donor Certificate from PASDO, please keep a confirmation page of your donation through GoFundMe and feel free to contact me with your information (a screenshot of the confirmation with amount, as well as your full name and email).
PASDO is an accredited organisation by the UN: https://www.onlinevolunteering.org/en/pasdo

Thank you!!
