My name is Stephanie Gomez, I decided to get my first Covid-19 Vaccine. On the 26th of July 2021 and ended up suffering a severe stroke, of which I am still recovering from. It affected the right side of my brain, and the left side of my body was left weak. I had to go to a rehabilitation hospital where I had to do PT,OT & Speech Therapy. I took 3-4 weeks off work to recover. I haven’t been the same since my stroke. During my recovery time I was accidentally exposed to COVID 19 in February 2022 and had to be admitted into the ICU with Chronic Hypoxemic Respiratory Failure. I am still under my doctor's care and in recovery from this. I still have to use a portable oxygen tank and an at home oxygen machine. At this time I’m still unable to work, or do some stuff I used to do in my daily life. Several months back, my doctor informed me that I have what is called long term COVID and I’m suffering from pulmonary lung disease. If It’s not one thing after another its something else. I'm a single parent with a 12 year old son, I have run out of every asset I had saved. My monthly bills are starting to add up and it's becoming very difficult to pay them. I'm curently waiting on my permanent disability to be approved and until then I won't have any income coming in. I’m still unable to work,or do most of the tasks I was able to handle before my illness. My son and I are staying with my parents at this time until my disability gets approved. I truly appreciate you taking the time to read this. I am well aware times are hard for everyone and I will truly appreciate any help. Thank you in advance for any donations that have been donated.
Love, Stephanie G.
