Covid took Hollis Strickland, my brother-in-law

I, Karin Johnson am fundraising for my sister Traci Strickland and brother-in-law Hollis Strickland. They were both very active members of Mt. Olivet Church, and followers of God. Sadly, Hollis passed this morning. We are all grieving and I wrote most of this before he passed away. My heart goes out to all the family members but most especially his children, siblings, mother and wife. They were married for 10 years the picture is their 10th anniversary. If you knew them you know of their love for one another.

Unfortunately, both contracted COVID. My sister is out of vacation and sick time. When she initially called in sick, her employer told her to work from home, while she tried to heal from a bad case of

Covid. Meanwhile, Hollis contracted Covid and eventually ended up in ICU on a ventilator and then needed kidney dialysis. She was finally permitted to see him after 20 days in ICU. When informing and updating her boss, he responded, “It is not about you it is about the team.”

God took him away from his pain this morning. Traci "knows where he is because he knew God" but she is tired, grieving and her doctor instructed her to stay off work. Her job is not compensating her during her time off work. She needs financial help with bills, rent, ambulance, medical and utilities. It is unclear when her doctor will clear her to return to work.

On her behalf, I would appreciate any amount you are able to share. Nothing can bring him back but I want to lessen her burden.
