COVID Relief Fund for Ricardo del Bosque
Donation protected
A man who has given all of his life to others in his family, community, and church is now in the fight of his life and in need of assistance. In late July Ricardo del Bosque contracted COVID-19, has remained in the ICU since the beginning of August, and was placed on a ventilator August 21st. He is working hard to come off the ventilator. His journey home is long and requires much rehabilitation.
Ricardo immigrated to this country a humble man with nothing and has risen to be an irreplaceable pillar in our community. Thousands have received food, household items, school supplies, free DACA application assistance, or pro bono medical work through his work. He provides real help to those who visit him at his office as the director of the Family Resource Center through the Shelton School District or knock on his front door of his home. He has served as a Mexican Police Officer, leader of a Spanish congregation, and a foster parent. If someone in our family needed to move cross country, assistance on a house project, or to watch over babies Ricardo never hesitated to help.
From the ICU Ricardo continued to work on his phone, worrying over food grants and the many who currently need help. He fretted about projects that he had planned to finish this summer on his home and bills that would soon be due while he laid in a hospital bed. Every day needs must be the least of our family’s worries while Ricardo slowly heals. Maintenance is needed for his house including work to make it more handicap accessible. His wife Debra needs help with travel expenses, gas money, ferry rides, food, and incidentals. Her physical presence lifts Ricardo’s spirit and is essential for his recovery.
2020 has been a rough year for everyone, we painfully understand that. We appreciate any help given to help Ricardo whether it is monetarily, shared posts, or prayers offered. Your gift will alleviate our worries over growing bills. Thank you for joining us on this journey to help support Ricardo and get back to what he enjoys most in life, being with his family and serving others!
