Covid Relief for Sgt. Joe Rivera

On April 21st Sgt. Joe Rivera was diagnosed with Covid 19. Joe was recently transferred to UVA after weeks in another hospital. Joe remains on a ventilator in critical condition as the medical staff continues to work to get him well.
Joe is a Marine Veteran who went on to serve at the Suffolk Police Department. Joe is a dedicated public servant who has served the citizens of Suffolk with grace and distinction. He has served as a member of the Suffolk Honor Guard, the Suffolk SWAT Team, the Suffolk Neighborhood Enforcement Team (N.E.T), and is currently a Suffolk Patrol Sergeant. He spends his time off at home helping dog lovers train their pups to be good pups.
Pam, Joe's wife, is a hair stylist/salon owner. She has not been able to be with Joe during this trying time due to policy restrictions in the hospital. In the next couple of weeks Joe will be moved to FMLA without pay after his leave is exhausted.
Joe has been in the ICU for a month now and has a very long road ahead of him. We are not yet sure what those medical/therapy bills will look like but we hope to provide a cushion of relief with this go fund me.
Pam needs to remain focused on her husband and his care at this time and not worry about the lack of income. Every penny donated to this couple will go towards paying everyday bills as well as medical bills. As you can imagine, they have a long road ahead of them and we want to assure that they only need to focus on their health.
If you know this couple you know they would do anything for anyone. They both are well loved and known for their caring and giving ways. Please help us help our friends.
