If any of you know, and for those of you who don’t , Sandy is one of the most selfless, hard working, smartest nurses I have ever worked with.   She willingly and without hesitation offered to upskill and lend a hand to our overflowing icu’s when covid started to spike in AZ.   She not only upskilled to a different department to work with covid patients but also turned her life upside down for two weeks to do all of this on night shift.  Somewhere along the line she was exposed and tested positive for covid herself.  She has now been unable to return to work since testing positive back in June. Everyday dealing with new and unknown symptoms, and at this point it is unknown when she will be able to return back to her work family. She is not one to ask for help, but she is less than a month away from losing everything and being kicked out of her home.  I would love for us to come together as a community to help financially support a nurse who risked everything for others when it mattered most.
