Covid Masks for Heroes

Covid-19 hit and the whole world was thrown a curveball.  At first, we thought it was just the flu but then we realized it was a lot more serious. Jobs closed down and the news was on more frequently. Things were becoming scary.

I received a notification by email from Deaconess hospital sharing a video tutorial on how to make masks.  It was that video that inspired me to pick up a sewing machine for the first time. News of low PPE surfaced and I knew the community would need to do its part in fighting this virus by coming together.  At first It was just me, then my friend Rita joined in to help and then my brother Omar. The team of 3 turned into 10 then 15 and it continues to grow today.  We call ourselves "Covid Shield Boston" and we are proud of it.

Our team has done an amazing job providing 1000+ donation masks to local hospitals, non-profit organizations, and Nursing homes.  Some organizations include Presbyterian Hospital, Adviniacare, Violence in Boston Inc., St. Joseph's, Nielsen Eye Center, and more. I would really love for our team to continue sending out as many donations as possible.  In order to do so, we need to be able to have funds to continue purchasing the needed materials.

Help us by either donating money or purchasing a mask from us. Every mask purchased is a mask donated. The more masks we can get out to the community the quicker we can get ahead of this virus. Thank you so much for reading and we hope for your support.
